Presentation was mainly by Lon Simpson with assistance from the Elders. Lon started out with a Power Point over view of the ongoing  restoration work of the historic sites at  Nauvoo Ill. Lon is an excellent speaker with an amazing life story. He took us on a tour of his learnings and education that has spanned 40 years, interleaved with an amazing Army career. Lion discussed the restoration work he has done and lessons learned. One key lesson he offered was to use cypress wood instead of the traditional pine lumber  that is often used to frame windows and door. It will last longer and if not in ground contact the wood will not rot.
